August 5 - 26, 2022 Caleb Brown has always had unique artistic talents; however, he never dreamed of pursuing fine art as a profession. He graduated from Mercer University where not only did he excel athletically as a member of Mercer’s Inaugural football team, he shined academically as a student in Mercer’s Pre-Physical Therapy program. Acrylic painting by Kendell Kuehn on display in one of the many Phantom Galleries in Downtown Macon. This piece was on display in the VanCamp Tuna Gallery. Phantom Galleries revitalizes and energizes the community and pedestrian thoroughfares by converting vacant storefronts throughout Downtown Macon into window front galleries. Each new exhibit opens on a First Friday, adding to downtown as a vibrant cultural hub for public presentation of art. Phantom Galleries also uses these storefronts to provide opportunities for local artist, and especially new artist, to display and sell their art. Phantom Galleries is presented by a partnership between stARTup Studios and The 567 Center for Renewal.
