Beautiful Dames Ferry is the only campground at 3,600-acre Lake Juliette. Many of the campsites at Dames Ferry have magnificent lakefront views. Lake Juliette is formed by the Ocmulgee River. Anglers can cast a line for bream, crappie, largemouth bass, striped bass, and perch. Boating is enjoyed by those who use motors of 25 or less horsepower. Embers from our fire at Dames Ferry Campground. The campground has 28 campsites (with water & electric) and is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Juliette. Many sites are waterfront and have great views of the lake. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs. In addition to water & electric hookups, each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include potable water, flush toilets, showers, a dump station, playground and boat ramps. Ice and firewood are also available for sale.
Amerson River Park contains 180 acres of pristine forests, meadows, and wetlands surrounded by a river oxbow. The park boasts several high bluffs that provide beautiful views of the river and its banks. Walk, ride, or run the seven miles of trails throughout the park. Enjoy the Ocmulgee River on a kayak, sitting in a canoe, or floating in a tube. At the north end of the Park, there is a canoe launch on the Ocmulgee River. Visit Website
