The four sites at Appletree Group Campground accommodates two sites (A and D) for up to 25 people each and two sites (B and C) for up to 50 people each. Each site has its own picnic shelter, outdoor group gathering area with a fire ring and lantern posts, restroom with flush toilets, water hydrant, designated parking area and a grassy field for tents and activities. The campground offers a shower house.
Amerson River Park, also known as Amerson Water Works Park, is an urban park in Macon, Georgia. The park contains 180 acres of pristine forests, meadows, and wetlands surrounded by a river oxbow. At the north end of the Park, there is a canoe launch on the Ocmulgee River. Enjoy a 2-mile tubing float from the Jay Hall Memorial Canoe Launch to the Bragg Jam Canoe and Tube Takeout.
