Phantom Galleries revitalizes and energizes the community and pedestrian thoroughfares by converting vacant storefronts throughout Downtown Macon into window front galleries. Each new exhibit opens on a First Friday, adding to downtown as a vibrant cultural hub for public presentation of art. Phantom Galleries also uses these storefronts to provide opportunities for local artist, and especially new artist, to display and sell their art. Phantom Galleries is presented by a partnership between stARTup Studios and The 567 Center for Renewal.
One of many Graffiti Walls in Downtown Macon established by The 567 Center for Renewal to provide graffiti and mural artists a legal place to practice their craft. Anyone, whether professional artist or aspiring artist, is able to use the wall as a blank canvas to express themselves and create art without causing property damage for building owners.
