The Tybee Island Lighthouse is Georgia's oldest and tallest lighthouse. A complete light station whose history dates back to 1736. The tower stands 145 feet tall and has three Light Keeper's Cottages nearby. A small 1812 Summer Kitchen holds archaeological finds. Located northwest of Macon, High Falls State Park is named for tumbling cascades on the Towaliga River. Visitors can hike along the river's edge and through hilly forest to the base of the falls.
